About Freja's Home

Hi, I'm Fleur, and I believe our homes should be filled with pieces that truly matter.
My love affair with Nordic design began when I realised that the most beautiful spaces aren't about having more, but about choosing well. They're shaped slowly, through objects that connect us to memories, family traditions, and the people we love.
For me, slow living means, in part, stripping things back — walking through life with a lighter load, but surrounded by pieces that resonate more deeply. A linen throw that softens with every wash. A wooden table marked by shared meals and family stories. Heirlooms and hand-me-downs. These pieces don't just decorate our homes. They become part of our family stories.
Our makers are carefully chosen for their craftsmanship, integrity, and values of sustainability. I feel privileged to collaborate with artisans who share this dedication to creating pieces that last, pieces that grow more meaningful with time.
Based in the beautiful market town of Barnard Castle, Freja's Home began online and has grown to include a welcoming bricks-and-mortar shop where you can experience these carefully curated pieces in person.
You'll also see "The Freja Edit" throughout the shop — these are pieces that have captured my heart, items I would choose for my own home and recommend to my closest friends.
Freja's Home offers a thoughtfully curated collection of Nordic-inspired timeless homewares and gifts, including simple apparel, candles, ceramics, and jewellery. I work with small makers across Europe and the UK — many of them women-owned businesses you won't find on Amazon — bringing beauty, meaning, and a quiet sense of belonging to everyday life.
