Renée Vendrig didn't want a novelty clock. She wanted the cuckoo tradition rebuilt for a home that already looks considered — matte finish, made from wood, automatic night silence, a bird that appears once and disappears. Not a toy that performs.

The Cloudnola Dot reimagines the cuckoo clock by stripping away carved ornamentation and focusing on proportion, structure, and simplicity. The result is a clock that integrates into the space rather than competing with it. Every hour, the cuckoo bird appears from the circular opening with a soft chirp — the familiar rhythm of a traditional cuckoo clock in a clean, minimal form.

Unlike traditional cuckoo clocks limited to wall mounting, the Dot includes a removable stand, allowing it to sit on a shelf, desk, or console — or be wall-mounted depending on your space.

A Note on Setup

If the clock hands are moved manually during setup or after shipping, the cuckoo timing may shift slightly. This is normal and easily corrected by advancing the hands slowly to the next hour and allowing the mechanism to reset.

Questions

Does the bird count the hours?
No — the cuckoo chirps once every hour to announce the time. It does not count the number of the hour.

Will it wake me up at night?
No — automatic night silence from 11pm to 6am.

Can I control the volume?
Yes — three volume levels plus mute, adjusted via the knob on the back.

Wall or shelf?
Both. The removable stand lets it sit on any shelf, desk, or console. Remove the stand and use the keyhole on the back to hang it on the wall.

How do I set the time?
Turn the minute hand clockwise using the time-setting knob on the back. Never move the hour hand independently — this keeps the cuckoo in sync.

What batteries?
3 × AA (not included). Replace annually. Duracell or equivalent recommended.
