Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino

Knitting for Olive's Heavy Merino is a worsted-weight yarn spun from 100% non-mulesed Merino wool, traceable to the farms of Patagonia where it is raised. Warmer and more rustic in texture than the fingering-weight Merino, it is designed for cosy, hardwearing knitwear with excellent stitch definition.

Merino wool is naturally temperature-regulating — warming in cold weather, cooling in warm — and can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet. It is also naturally dirt-repellent, requiring minimal care. This yarn is spun in Italy to high ethical, technical and environmental standards, free from harmful chemicals, and independently certified to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) by Control Union (CU 1276494).
