Because all seeds have been de-hulled, there's very little mess, and any discarded seeds will be picked up by ground-feeding birds.

Use with the Field Day bamboo bird feeder, a bird table, or simply scatter on the ground. Always ensure fresh, clean water is available nearby for drinking and bathing.
